Sports Medicine

The lead physicians at Excel Occupational Health Clinic (EOHC) are all Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialists with Dr. Laluya and Dr. Strong completing subspecialty training in sports medicine at the University of Illinois Medical Center.

Dr. Laluya and Dr. Strong hold academic appointments at the University of Illinois while serving a role as clinical instructor for the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program through the department of orthopedics. Dr. Pillar maintains an active role as clinical instructor through the University of Illinois Occupational Medicine Residency Program.

At EOHC we focus on the individual, offering a very specific and personalized approach to care and recovery of the injured athlete. Whether you are a high school, collegiate, professional or recreational athlete – EOHC strives to provide the best care in a state-of-the-art facility to return you back to your sport.

Our physical therapy team consists of Board Certified physical therapists and athletic trainers. They, along with the EOHC physicians, will design a recovery program for your specific needs. Whether you are overcoming an isolated injury or recovering from surgery, our team will devise a program to restore function and return you to your optimal performance.

Since 1999, our physicians at EOHC have been providing sports medicine services and coverage to the community and local schools, such as Reavis High School and Queen of Peace High School. EOHC prides itself in its approach, attempting to keep the athlete in motion while providing a healthy and safe environment for injury recovery.
